Elsa, 35 yo
How long have you been riding for and what got you into riding?
3 years with a license. I've always liked motorcycle since I was a child. Didn't have the money, the time nor the balls to actually do it until I was 30 years old.
Riding is a big positive for two things : it helps relieve stress and empties my brains and thought. It's also a great way for me to satisfy my needs of "control". Being a control freak tends to be too much sometimes and transferring that to motorcycle riding has helped me letting go of a lot of things in life. Motorcycle therapy really is a thing.
Do you prefer to ride solo or groups and why?
Solo. Riding with others is like doing small talk. It's tiring and doesn't accomplish anything. Sometimes I ride with my buddies, but no more than three people.
Sportbike gsxr-600. I always liked them, I like the idea of being able to be fast but also to control the beast. I'm not really attracted to other kind of bike especially cruisers, but I'm thinking about off-road more and more, especially in BC it can be great
What's been your favorite or most memorable riding experience
Definitely San Francisco with my friend last year. Flew down there, he lent me one of his bikes and we did three days of riding on great roads.
Future riding goals/ plans?
Wanted to do Vancouver San Francisco this year but shit happened. Maybe next year.
What else would like to ask to your fellow riders?
Please be supportive instead of thrashing each other. It's supposed to be a supportive and helpful community as we're sharing the same passion. This hobby is not about who has the biggest dick, the biggest bike or who rides the fastest. Just be nice and courteous or you're no better than the "cagers" that you always criticize.
