David and Sandie age 50 and 47
Sexual orientation and identity (if its relevant for you story)
How long have you been riding for and what got you into riding?
David for 3 years. Cause my wife wanted something we could do together. Sandie has had her license for 18 years.
What kind of impact had riding had for you? Has riding helped you to overcome a hardship in your life, if yes how?
Its my way of practicing mindfulness. Its like meditation. It forces me to live in the moment and not allow outside distractions in.
Do you prefer to ride solo or groups and why?
We prefer solo or small groups. Large groups have more hazards. We usually ride with our own group everyone knows each other's riding styles and limits.
What kind of bike do you have and why? What kind of riding do you do or have you done? (
Both of us ride cruisers, and like a relaxed pace. I commute to work in the city, but prefer country backroads
What's been your favorite or most memorable riding experience?
We have a riding trip planned for Vancouver Island later this month, that will be the most lengthy trip we've done together.
Future riding goals/ plans?
Oregon coast to California sometime in the next year or so .
What else would like to ask to your fellow riders?
I think all riders need to be good representatives for moto culture. Outlaw or hooligan behaviour only makes us all look bad, and there's enough negative stereotypes about Bikers. Some of us have lots of tattoos, but we're not criminals.
